Daily Nuggets of Wisdom From an Indie Game Producer
Thanks to Nick I’ve found a very audio tool: Audacity. Basically this tool let’s you record and manipulate sound. I found it very easy to use, and seems to be good light-weight solution for dealing with audio. Check it out if you happen to need to record PODcasts, edit sound clips or perform tasks like that.

Yeah, I like Audacity. I’ve used some high-end tools in the past, but for my games Audacity is all I need.
Another great program is NGWave [http://www.ngwave.com/]. It’s very cheap ($30) but has a lot of great features.
Glad to help! There are of course more feature rich apps, but for a free audio app, it does a pretty good job. =)
