Right now I’m on the “it depends” mode.

Those of you who have participated earlier, please share your thoughts on how was it. I have some friends who have got their games (and did pretty well too), and they are pretty much recommending this to people.

You going to participate? (Why? Why not?)

  1. I’m thinking about submitting. But it’s not free and you have to be present or send a substitute at the conference if you are selected. And this is expensive for me as I live in Europe.

    So I’m not sure yet.

  2. I’m going to submit my Mystic Mine game. I have no idea how far I’m going to get, but I hope for the best. Hopefully the jury likes innovative games ;).

  3. Not this year… reason being, I don’t have any games except for the one I submitted back in 2008 (well, 2007)! Not even any in-progress ones. I’ve just been improving Mayhem Intergalactic and (mostly) being busy with uni.

Note to self: Graduate already! :-) Two months to go, plus exams…

  4. Yea, you are right. Even if I fail, I will gain a new experience by participating for the first time in this competition.
I will think I will give it a shot. Thanks. ;)

  5. I don’t think I will.
I submitted an alpha demo to indie cade, and it didn’t pass to the next stage. More than that, they had problem with their comments system, so they didn’t send me the judges feedback on my game.
They said they will send it on october, though.
So I am not too sure I should submit it to IGF.

  6. I don’t think I’ll have the time, as I haven’t for a while.

  7. True. Good point. One other guy actually said about the same.

Maybe it’s just me thinking that submitting a demo would be like… well. You can do it.

    So… who’s submitting?

  8. Hmm, I think you can submit your game even if its not finished.
