When I was playing MtG (about 3-5 years ago), I’ve invested up to 2000$ into all the cards I’ve bought. Never countered how much exactly, but I spent A LOT of money into the game.

Collectors’ Edition – that explains it. I never buy collector’s editions (where are you supposed to stick that apostrophe?) but a few people do. I think you’d want to price collector’s’ editions according to the fact that only a few will sell.

Actually I suppose I kinda bought a collectors’ edition Lego set a year ago, but it wasn’t “pay heaps more for a few perks” type, it was “this is a special set that we are only bringing this out once and costs roughly the same as other, similar size sets”. More of an anniversary set than a collector’s edition.

lol, no. I upgraded my computer to a Quad-Core AMD Phenom II X4 955 (3.2 GHz) 6 GB of RAM, a ATI Radeon HD 4800, and a new motherboard and case (Not really much of an upgrade, more of a new computer, but whatevs) for a little over $600. Money much better spent than a board game =P
