I finally got around to playing! Unfortunately, I am experiencing a really weird bug, its like everything is slomo except for the player/zombie/dog movements. (EG: animations, time until night, reloading, and shooting...)

@Jake: yeh. one game dev friend of mine said "be prepared not to get anything done for 6 months". I've taken that as my guideline... I have no expectations and prepare to have no any time for anything else :) So - if I happen to have time for coding, it'll be a great pleasant surprise ;)

@hermitC: cool & thanks. regarding: baby project: only some greyscale concept art that we are not sharing at this point... :)

This is the first indie game I've traced during its release. Well done! It's very inspiring to read about a successful project.

The baby project sounds interesting to. Any "screenshots"?

You are welcome. Focusing on the baby is a good idea, it's not easy and you will be very tired, but maybe sometimes you'll need a break and can code :-) Good luck!

@Alex: thanks.

@Jake: thanks man. And thanks for you Jake for aid during this project. That "get it out dude" and "needs tutorial/help stuff" was very good.

What next? I dunno. Educational... nah, I prefer writing stuff for "educational". :)

Next immediate step will be that I'll take a deep breath.

Then I'll focus 110% on the baby.

...and the remaining 90% goes thinking of the new project. Something fun. Something compatible. Something to sell... ;) I've been toying around with the idea of reanimating (so to speak, zombie term) Edoiki. But dunno yet.

I'm sure I'll blurt it out one day :D

Congrats on releasing! It's always a big accomplishment to actually ship a game :). We just sent our first game off to be released on the app store today as well. I watched the Dead Wake videos and was immediately excited when I saw the barricading mechanic! I'll have to try it out soon!

Yay! Congratulations on the release Juuso and thanks for an excellent post about the lessons learned.

"I think devs should do what they really enjoy." Amen to that. Ideally what they enjoy doing also makes money :-)

So then, what's next? (apart from Baby project). Maybe educational games? ...
